Bluebirds and a whole mountain to explore!
Posted on 17 Jul, 2020 in On the Slopes
What a day, what a week!
Today’s been a sensational bluebird with nothing but blue skies and sunshine on the mountain.
We’re still reaping the rewards of that huge storm earlier in a week that dumped 85 cm of fresh snow across the resort.
The storm paved the way for our mountain operations team to expand the terrain on offer with skiers and snowboarders taking advantage and exploring trails across the mountain today.
Antons T-Bar made its season debut on Wednesday with skiers and snowboarder all smiles as they carved turns in the popular Central Spur area.
Thursday it was The Basin’s turn. Riders took the Kosciuszko Chair up high and waited eagerly for the final safety checks to be completed in the morning so that they could be the first to ride the Basin T-Bar this season!
The conditions just keep getting better with skiers and snowboarders loving the fresh corduroy down Basin today.
With sub-zero temperatures set to continue over the next few days, our mountain operations team are looking forward to opening up the remaining lifts on offer so riders will have an entire mountain to shred!
