Torah Bright takes a family hike to the top of Australia!

Aussie Snowboard legend Torah Bright recently came to Thredbo with her family to hike to the top of Australia!
The Thredbo Resort Ambassador who is arguably Australia’s greatest winter Olympian, would normally be chasing winters overseas this time of year but the Cooma-born athlete was delighted to spend more time in her backyard this summer.
Torah became a first-time mum in July to son Flow and brought him along for a memorable family day out to the top of Australia.
Taking Flow on his first chairlift ride, the family started the hike from the top of Mt Kosciuszko Express chairlift before setting off for their adventure.
“Alright checklist: hats, sunnies, we’ve got plenty of water in the backpack, lunch, the fam, the three of us – let’s go!”
After a few hours and a few baby naps, the family made it to Australia’s highest peak Mt Kosciuszko at 2,228 metres elevation.
The family enjoyed a picnic lunch whilst taking in the stunning views stretching all the way to Victoria before making the return journey back to Thredbo village.
We’re sure there’ll be many more adventures for Torah’s family in Thredbo for years to come!

Thredbo sits on the traditional land of the Monero – Ngarigo people who have looked after this land, water and community for over 60,000 years. We thank them for all they have done and continue to do to look after their country, a special place which we all love and respect.
