Wild Wild West | 7th Annual Transfer Banked Slalom

Tipping our hats and riding off into the sunset, it’s a wrap for the 7th annual Transfer Banked Slalom!

Greeted with perfect conditions on Friday, there was nothing but blue skies, sunshine and good times. It was the ultimate event for snowboarders to unite, race and rodeo.

The competition was massive with over 250 snowboarders showing up to the party. From pro’s to mini shredders, all riders held on the reigns and didn’t let go sending it down the savage custom-built course in true Wild West style.

Blasting out of the cattle gate, cowboys were bucked by rollers and hit with a series of windy and wild berms.

YETI provided spectators with the ultimate chill zone. Sun-soaked hay bails and slope-side deck chairs were the perfect place to watch the crazy rodeo shenanigans and sip free Red Bull from the sidelines.  

Pirate Life Brewing took over Merritt’s deck for the final hoedown with presentations, tunes and all-around good times. Those that managed to hit the podium were gifted with a cowboy staple, leaving the day donning a brand-spankin-new Akubra hat.
