Made You Look! Our Overseas Resort Wrap
Posted on 17 Jan, 2025
While we’re soaking up the summer vibes here in Thredbo, we can’t help but keep one eye on the countdown to winter. It’s especially hard to resist the thought right now, with our friends in the Northern Hemisphere seemingly swimming in an endless sea of snow.
Keep scrolling to catch a glimpse of how some of our favourite overseas resorts are revelling in their incredible winter season – and don’t forget to cross your fingers (and toes) that we get a similar treatment when our turn comes!
Niseko United
It seems that once again, Niseko is showing us all just how it earned its name as the powder capital of Japan. After record-breaking snowfall in December, some depths not seen since 1956, the Niseko ‘snow tap’ does not appear to be turning off any time soon.

Aspen Snowmass
After a strong start to the season providing a great base in Aspen, the good times just keep on rolling for the 24/25 season. With so much world-class terrain available for skiiers to enjoy, a few healthy top ups of snowfall throughout the season, and of course a couple of stellar blue bird days thrown in, we are all dreaming of Aspen.

Jackson Hole
With over 5 meters of snow this season in Jackson Hole, 3 of which falling this month alone, it’s hard not to feel anything but jealousy when we are thinking about our friends in Wyoming. With all lifts running and more snow in the forecast, the stoke is high for what is sure to be an amazing remainder of the season. Keep your eye on Jackson Hole’s Kings & Queens of Corbets comp streaming from February 8-15 for some high-thrill action that’s sure to get you pumped for the winter ahead.

Utah Resorts
With resorts across Utah all appearing to be enjoying an all-time season, surely we can’t be the only ones dreaming of a Utah road trip to visit all 6 Ikon Pass spots?
Snowbird alone has received a whopping 2 metres of snow since Christmas Day- here’s hoping our friends in Utah can send some of that snow magic our way for our upcoming season.

Palisades Tahoe
Sure, powder definitely takes centre stage when it comes to envy-inducing snow content… but we also can’t tear our eyes away from the stunning blue bird conditions in Tahoe! With a strong base and loads of terrain, our friends at Palisades are lapping up the sunshine at the largest Ikon Pass destination in North America.

Looking Forward
With Thredbo’s winter 2025 season creeping closer and closer, it’s time to start putting that snow envy to good use and plan your next trip!
Our hot tip? Book your accommodation early and save here.
While we can guarantee that our winter events lineup will knock your socks off, we’re doing all of our snow dances to coax the snow machine down south for our season. As well as snow dances, we’ve made some moves and upgraded our snow-making fleet with the purchase of a brand new ‘All-Weather Snowmaking Unit’, the first of its kind in New South Wales. This unit is designed to produce snow in temperatures up to 20°C. We can’t wait to see how this will transform our snow-making abilities this season!!
While we continue to count down, why not take a look back on some of our favourite memories of 2024 to get you stoked…

Thredbo sits on the traditional land of the Monero – Ngarigo people who have looked after this land, water and community for over 60,000 years. We thank them for all they have done and continue to do to look after their country, a special place which we all love and respect.
