Posted on 7 Sep, 2016 in Festivals & Events
WOW! What a winter we’ve had…powder days that would confuse you for North America’s finest snow, a massive line-up of free live concerts and parties hosted by some of the best music acts in Australia, a jam-packed events calendar as well as the iconic Top to Bottom weekend that showered the entire resort in champagne, plus a whole lot more….
Last year Thredbo Resort won the ‘Best Australian Ski Resort’ at the 2015 World Ski Awards held in Kitzbühel, Austria in November and we’ve been nominated again as ‘Best Australian Ski Resort’ for 2016 as well as a few other categories…Woohoo!
The World Ski Awards are voted on by thousands of skiers and snowboarders, like yourselves, who select their favourite resorts, chalets and hotels. They are the only global awards to recognise, reward and celebrate excellence in ski tourism, with a mission to serve as a definitive benchmark of excellence and to foster a new era of growth in ski tourism.
Voting has now open, so all of you can head on over to the World Ski Awards website and vote for your favourite Australian Ski Resort…Thredbo obviously.
Not only have we been nominated as ‘Best Australian Ski Resort 2016’ but also have nominations under the following categories:
- Australia’s Best Ski Chalet 2016 : The Rockpool Lodge, Sequoia Penthouse and Ski In Ski Out have all been nominated!
- Australia’s Best Ski Boutique Hotel 2016 : The Denman Hotel & Spa
So make sure to give these categories a vote as they all play a pivotal role in running Australia’s best ski resort.

Thredbo sits on the traditional land of the Monero – Ngarigo people who have looked after this land, water and community for over 60,000 years. We thank them for all they have done and continue to do to look after their country, a special place which we all love and respect.
