30 Years Of Gravity
Thredbo is celebrating 30 years as Australia’s Premier Mountain Bike Park.
Thredbo is Australia’s home of mountain biking and offers the only summer-long chairlift access in the country with more than 34-kilometres of trails. Each year the resort attracts thousands of mountain bike enthusiasts of all ages and abilities.
To celebrate 30 years of mountain biking, we’ve created a three-part video series looking back at the progression of mountain biking over the past three decades, featuring some of the country’s iconic personalities of the sport.
The first episode focuses on the ’90s when mountain biking first came to Thredbo.

Thredbo sits on the traditional land of the Monero – Ngarigo people who have looked after this land, water and community for over 60,000 years. We thank them for all they have done and continue to do to look after their country, a special place which we all love and respect.
