My Thredbo – Stuart Diver
Posted on 6 Jul, 2016 in Festivals & Events
For some of us, Thredbo is a seasonal haven, a weekend adventure or a passing visit, but for many people over the years, Thredbo has become more than just a home or a holiday, it’s become a way of life. My Thredbo sets out to uncover what Thredbo is, through the eyes of the many characters that hold its values and culture close to their hearts.
The first of the My Thredbo series features Stuart Diver. Stuart always dreamt of working on the mountains and in the snow. He first skied at Thredbo back in 1973, and he’s been a regular face on the hill ever since. In 1994 he took up his first job as a ski instructor here. Over the years, Stuart worked his way up through the Thredbo team, working many diverse jobs across the resort; today he is the Resort Operations Manager at Thredbo, a dream job in his eyes.
Stuart Diver is such an influential and integral part of Thredbo life. In this episode, he gives us an insight into why Thredbo is such a special place and why his love for the mountains and the snow has continued after all of these years.
The best things about the snow are the memories that are made, the people that we meet and the tales that are told.
Every visitor to Thredbo has a unique story to tell and this season we want to hear your story.
So what’s your Thredbo? #MyThredbo

Thredbo sits on the traditional land of the Monero – Ngarigo people who have looked after this land, water and community for over 60,000 years. We thank them for all they have done and continue to do to look after their country, a special place which we all love and respect.
