The school holidays kicked off in full swing this week! We started off the week with more than 1900 competitors arriving to Thredbo for the Northern NSW Interschool’s Championships. Over four days we saw kids of all ages compete across five disciplines, with plenty of friendly competition, a bit of rain and of course lots of fun!
There was plenty happening both on and off the mountain to keep kids and parents busy with lots of great events as part of the Kids Snow Festival! Treasure Hunts, Night Skiing and Kids Flare Runs, Snow Bikes and My Friend Mark and The Dancing Thredboland Animals just to name a few!
Saturday brought us some much needed sunshine to wrap up Interschool’s, while Ski Mag put on a demo day down at the bottom of the Supertrail, giving people a chance to try out some new skis for the afternoon. The Torah Bright Mini Shred was put on hold for Sunday; it will be all go next week, with the event now running on the 16th of July.
We finish the week on a high, thanks to the forecasts predicting up to 40cm of fresh snow from Monday through to Wednesday…fingers crossed!

Thredbo sits on the traditional land of the Monero – Ngarigo people who have looked after this land, water and community for over 60,000 years. We thank them for all they have done and continue to do to look after their country, a special place which we all love and respect.
