LEGO Lovin’: We share the smiles and laughs from the LEGO Friends Snow Festival

Well it was a magical two weeks of little people loving LEGO, and we had such a good time we know we’re going to stay BLSFFs, aka Best-Lego-Snow Friends-Forever! The festival was the biggest school holiday event Thredbo has seen, and judging by the smiles-per-day ratio, it was a 100% success.
Most impressive was perhaps the Snow-Hunting and Lego-building skills of some of Thredbo’s youngest visitors. Each day, they followed clues to find the Lego Friends skis and snowboard hidden on the mountain, before taking a snap and heading to the LEGO Friends Play Zone in the Village to collect a prize, and maybe even build a ski lift while there!
Out on the mountain, our favourite Torah Bright once again hosted an absolutely awesome Torah Bright Mini Shred, and even though it was snowing for some of the day, tough little groms wore a determined smile and showed off their moves on the jumps and mini half pipe at Friday Flat.
We all know that Thredbo knows how to show us a good night, and with two unbelievable fireworks displays, night skiing, sparkling Kids Flare Runs and of course the Family Village concert featuring La Fiesta, there was more family nightlife fun than you could poke a bright pink LED flare at. Seeing the faces of wonder and exhilaration on the kids who snaked their way down Friday Flat, flares in hand, was pure magic, and nothing could beat the excitement as the colourful fireworks display went off with a bang. All in all, the festival was total Lego-Lovin litany of laughs and fun, and if you don’t believe us, just check out the gallery below 😉

Thredbo sits on the traditional land of the Monero – Ngarigo people who have looked after this land, water and community for over 60,000 years. We thank them for all they have done and continue to do to look after their country, a special place which we all love and respect.
