Blue Skies, Après & The Preatures in the forecast for this weekend…
Posted on 24 Aug, 2017
This weekend…it’s on! Come and celebrate the end of August in Thredbo: conditions are going to be awesome, the weather should be filled with blue skies and sunshine and of course the après line-up will keep you partying long after the mountain is closed.
We’ve had good snowfall throughout August, keeping the mountain looking prime. There’s a solid base, and there’s more snow on and off forecasted for the next week so conditions will be on point for a weekend of shredding. We should see some of that famous Aussie sun on Saturday – perfect weather for bluebird first tracks, followed by a well-earned cold poolside Corona to the sound of some awesome Aussie artists.
Speaking of which – let’s just talk about après for a minute. From 2pm, hit up Poolside at the Thredbo Alpine Hotel for the Corona Sunsets series, a sweet as combination of après and fresh tunes to see out your afternoon. On the decks we will have James Mack from the Groove Academy, followed by Polish Club (self proclaimed “the sweatiest band in Sydney”) followed by DJ- RADGE. So-hot-right-now The Preatures will be wrapping things up with a preview of their national tour performance, and you’ll be some of the first to witness tunes from their brand new album Girlhood.

Thredbo sits on the traditional land of the Monero – Ngarigo people who have looked after this land, water and community for over 60,000 years. We thank them for all they have done and continue to do to look after their country, a special place which we all love and respect.
