Posted on 19 Aug, 2017
The Thredbo Mountain Bike Park has exceeded all expectations in recent years and with the 2017/18 season just around the corner the Thredbo MTB crew have some great trail plans in the pipeline along with clinics and events catering to all levels of riders.
The long awaited Thredbo All-Mountain Trail is now 100% complete in its full 10km glory. Starting in the high alpine, the All-Mountain trail takes you three diverse ecosystems with supreme views down the Thredbo Valley delivering a unique riding experience that is not found anywhere else in the world.
Work will begin shortly on the many planned link trails giving riders more options than ever before down the 600m vertical decent. The new links are designed to connect the All-Mountain trail with the current trail network found on the Crackenback Supertrail slopes. The trails won’t stop here, with huge plans in the pipeline for trail development which will catapult Thredbo Bike Park to be amongst the most recognised on the planet.
Riders looking to brush up on their skills & boost confidence are well catered for with 2 hour beginner, intermediate & advanced clinics running daily along with 2.5hr personalised private lessons. New for 2017, 3 hour junior ride clinics will be available for children aged 10 – 15 years of age and are designed to give junior riders an introduction to the gravity riding of Thredbo in a fun and laidback environment.
The events calendar will again see the biggest events in the country come to Thredbo. High on any mountain bikers to do list is the massive Cannonball Mountain Bike Festival going down Dec 6-10. Coming into its second year the Thredbo Super Enduro will test the true all-rounder utilising all three gravity trails on Feb 24-25 and the battle of the Schools continues with the 2018 Aus. MTB Interschools March 15-18.

Thredbo sits on the traditional land of the Monero – Ngarigo people who have looked after this land, water and community for over 60,000 years. We thank them for all they have done and continue to do to look after their country, a special place which we all love and respect.
