The Weather Guy – Weekend Forecast
Posted on 12 Sep, 2017 in Weather Forecast
Mother Nature has been gracing us with epic late season snow falls and freezing temperatures over the past couple of weeks and it doesn’t look like its going to stop any time soon.
We have a healthy cold front heading our way which could deliver between 20cm between Thursday afternoon and Saturday. Let’s break it down.
Thursday is forecast to deliver healthy snow flurries falling as low as 800m during the morning. These freezing temperatures mean that snow quality is likely to be light and dry, with fat flakes falling from top to bottom throughout the morning leading to quick accumulations.
We have the potential to pick up 15-25cm, with another 5-10cm collecting above 1500m on Friday.
Another cold snap will back it up soon after on Saturday, allowing snow to fall right to the village where we could see another 20cm before clearing to reveal an epic spring blue bird day on Sunday.
With all this late season powder and a bluebird day to wrap it up, this is looking like an awesome spring weekend to hit the slopes.
