Weekend Wrap: Riding, après and good times!

Boom…what a week in Thredbo! It was nothing but good times, jam-packed events and environmental action!
Wednesday night, 12 of the best snowboarders in the Southern Hemisphere were given the opportunity to ride and slide one of the most unique street features in OZ! The 3rd annual Jye’s Jam went down on the iconic Friday Flat stair set, putting on a night of heated action that over 300 spectators got to enjoy.
On Friday, we hiked for POW! It was a weekend all about environmental sustainability and raising awareness towards protecting the beautiful alpine environment that Thredbo calls home.
Chris Davenport, Legendary freeskier and POW amabassador led a hike out into the backcountry to celebrate Thredbo’s partnership with Protect Our Winters on Friday morning. The weather was testing, however the crew prevailed and enjoyed a very special moment…thanks to everyone that come out!
Friday night, there was a discussion and drinks focused on celebrating our partnership with protect our winters and providing everyone with more insight into all of Thredbo’s environmental initiatives that have been actioned since the initial POW partnership last year…what a turnout!
Come Saturday, the sun popped out and it was all about enjoying Australia’s longest runs and longer nights with Red Bull Music putting on one of the biggest parties poolside has seen!
Flex Mami, Silver Linings, Retiree and Thredbo’s favourite après super stars, Client Liaison shook the Snowy Mountains to a whole new level on Saturday night…talk about turning the après up a notch! It was incredible.
