Weekend Wrap: Super Spring Conditions & Ultimate Après

Spring is in full effect and conditions are as good as they get…what a weekend to enjoy spring shredding, sunny vibes and pumping tunes.
Skiers and boarders were greeted with a beautiful springtime sun on Saturday morning and it wasn’t going anywhere all weekend. The Basin was the pick of the morning with fresh groomers and wide open turns. The NASTAR course was open to everyone for free all weekend…mums, dads, brothers and sisters all took the great family challenge of, who’s the fastest in the family!
After a big day on the mountain, it was straight to the Thredbo Alpine Hotel for the final First Base Vintage Après Soiree! Tom Tilley and Danny Clayton pumped the nostalgic après all afternoon whilst the crowd did a spring boogie like never before. Joyride was the hit of the night, pumping his hip-hop inspired tunes and funky beats…the perfect way to end an awesome day on the mountain!
Sunday was a little bit windy but the snow conditions held up nicely and the sun peaked through from time to time…spring shred anyone? The lower Antons terrain park was the pick of the day with skiers and boarders loving all features and variety on offer…plus some mega air time!
