First Freshies of The Season!
Posted on 4 Jul, 2020 in On the Slopes
We woke up to a winter wonderland in Thredbo this morning with Mother Nature treating us to 15 cm of fresh snow up top and 7 cm in the village!
It was the first time this season that we’ve had a real taste of powder on the slopes.
The fresh snow added to a big night of snowmaking with 173 snow guns firing man-made snow across the resort to top up that base coverage.
The Squatters Run also made its debut today with skiers and snowboarders enjoying shredding the glades in The Cruiser area.
High Noon was our groomers’ pick of the day with pockets of powder found throughout all of the open terrain providing ample fun for riders.
With fresh snow and solid snowmaking sessions set to continue, we look forward to opening more terrain for riding soon.
Bring on the Supertrail!

Thredbo sits on the traditional land of the Monero – Ngarigo people who have looked after this land, water and community for over 60,000 years. We thank them for all they have done and continue to do to look after their country, a special place which we all love and respect.
