High Noon Season Debut!
Posted on 1 Jul, 2020 in On the Slopes
High Noon made its season debut today! The steepest and longest run in Australia open right now!
A string of cold nights stretching into last week has provided favourable conditions for our Mountain Operations team to continue the march towards opening more terrain. Under the cover of darkness, Snow Makers were out in full force over the weekend, pumping out snow right across the resort.
When the sun came up, it was the usually nocturnal groomers turn to work their magic. The cat driver’s worked all day to push out the whales (piles of man-made snow) made during prior cold nights in order to create that perfect corduroy. It’s amazing what our Mountain team can do to help Mother Nature along!
With fresh snow in the forecast for the next few days, we hope to open even more terrain soon! Stay tuned for updates!

Thredbo sits on the traditional land of the Monero – Ngarigo people who have looked after this land, water and community for over 60,000 years. We thank them for all they have done and continue to do to look after their country, a special place which we all love and respect.
