Thredbo Rolls Up Its Sleeves at the Keep It Cool Tree Planting Day
Posted on 9 Nov, 2020 in Community
Mother Nature got a big high five on Saturday as we rolled up our sleeves in collaboration with new local partner Keep It Cool and got our hands dirty at the Keep It Cool Tree Planting Day!
The good vibes flowed as the weather turned it on for the Thredbo, partner and local eco volunteers with blue skies, puffy clouds and sun soaked earth. A grand total of 1000 tree seedlings selected from Snowy Mountains native species were planted on the local regional property just outside of Dalgety.
The day was a big success and it was great to see so many people from all generations turn out to support our Snowy Mountains backyard.
Thredbo is proud to be a new partner of Keep It Cool – a local not-for-profit based in Snowy Mountains and run by passionate mountain goers. You’ll find them (and us) supporting all environmental initiatives that cross their path, educating to inspire change, building a community of like-minded people to help create momentum, and planting trees locally to draw down carbon from the atmosphere and create new habitats for wildlife.
Caring for the environment is a team effort and we can’t wait to be part of more awesome collaborations with local environmental champions Keep It Cool.
Thredbo is committed to preserving, protecting, and prioritising our unique alpine environment for future generations. Click here to learn more out our environmental initiatives and what you can do to help work towards a more sustainable future, today.

Thredbo sits on the traditional land of the Monero – Ngarigo people who have looked after this land, water and community for over 60,000 years. We thank them for all they have done and continue to do to look after their country, a special place which we all love and respect.
