July Kids Snow Festival…The Kids are Taking Over Thredbo
Posted on 19 Jun, 2021 in Festivals & Events
Kids will be the kings and queens of the mountain these school holidays as Thredbo hosts a bunch of family-friendly activities all part of the July Kids Snow Festival.
The all-ages event between Saturday, 26 June and Sunday, 11 July will include movie and pizza nights, special kids flare run, and loads of activities on and off the mountain for the whole family.
On-Mountain Activities
Calling all groms! Torah Bright’s Mini Shred is back for another year. Skiers and boarders of an intermediate level of riding or above can join Torah and friends on the 11th of July in the Cruiser Terrain Park where she will be sharing her tips on how to shred like a pro.
Every Thursday night (24 June, 1 & 8 July) kids can cruise down Friday Flat under the night sky with their very own twinkling LED flare as part of the Kids Only Flare Run.
Families will also have a chance to win a prize pack across the whole holidays – all mum and dad have to do is take a photo of the whole family having a great day and upload it to your Instagram account tagging #kidsrunthredbo & @thredboresort.
Off-Mountain Activities
Once the kids are tuckered out from a big day of riding, come on down to Friday Flat and indulge in a free, delicious s’more whilst warming up next to the fire pits.
On 1 & 8 July, the Friday Flay Clock Tower will be the place for our Family Fun Nights where families can enjoy music, dancing, games and prizes, Thredboland animal parades, and fireworks while parents can grab a cheeky schnapps.
Kids can also enjoy the daily outdoor giant games at Friday Flat, free kids pizza and movie nights, Alpine Bungee, Retro Snow Museum, and our very own Winter Disc Golf course.
It’s going to be a kids winter wonderland this July school holidays so head to our website for lift passes & lessons.

Thredbo sits on the traditional land of the Monero – Ngarigo people who have looked after this land, water and community for over 60,000 years. We thank them for all they have done and continue to do to look after their country, a special place which we all love and respect.
