Thredbo Christmas Carnival
Santa’s stopping in Thredbo! Across the Christmas period, we’ve got lots of Christmas activities to get you and the family ready for the arrival of the jolly big guy in red… you might even see him around the village! We’ve got everything from family feasts to fun for the kids with a ginger bread house workshop, carols and more!
Thredbo Village Christmas Party | 21st December
Everyone is invited to come and celebrate at the Thredbo Village Christmas Party! This free event is taking place in the Thredbo Village Square from 4pm-6pm on the 21st December.
Complete with Chritmas crafts, gingerbread snowman decorating, glitter tattoos and face painting, and adult beverage presents for the parents, this is the perfect free Christmas activity for the whole family. The word around the village is that the big guy in red is going to drop by at 5:30pm – we ho ho hope to see you there!
Face Painting | 21, 22, 23, 24 December
Face painting adds a magical touch to every occasion. Watch the kids light up as they transform into their favourite animals or characters. You’ll have special photos to share and cherish and best of all, it’s free!
Merritts Christmas Feast | 22nd December
A truly special Christmas experience for the whole family! Ride the Gondola under the stars to the Merritts Mountain House for an alpine-inspired, Aussie Christmas feast. Enjoy unforgettable views of a mountain sunset, while making lasting Christmas memories with family and friends.

Christmas Gingerbread House Workshop | 23rd December
Let your little ones explore the joy of decorating their own gingerbread masterpieces!
Come and join the fun in the Kosciuszko Room from 12pm-2pm for a Christmas Gingerbread House Workshop – $20 per house. Price includes a pre-made house, decorating lollies, icing, presentation packaging and supervision.
Parents are welcome to drop and run or stay and watch nearby in the “Parent’s Chill Zone”.

Christmas Pizza Workshops | 23rd & 24th December
From 2:30pm-4:30pm at the Alpine Pizzeria on the 23rd and 24th December, kids are invited to get into the Christmas spirit with a bit of edible art!
At $10 per child, kids can make their very own festive pizza masterpiece with colourful toppings, seasonal flavours and plenty of fun! From Christmas tree shapes to candy cane designs, our Christmas pizza workshops are all about combining the joy of pizza with the magic of Christmas.
Christmas Eve Carols | 24th December
Thredbo will be filled with the sounds of Christmas on the 24th of December at the Alpine Bar from 6pm-7:30pm.
This free event is the perfect way for families and friends to celebrate the joy of the holiday season. Sing along to classic carols, enjoy a festive refreshment and make beautiful holiday memories!
Christmas Decoration Workshop | 24th December
From 12pm-2pm on the 24th of December kids are invited to join us in the Koscuiszko room for a Christmas decoration workshop.
Get into the holiday spirit with a festive crafting workshop! Design your own Christmas decorations, create magical snow-globes and personalize stockings to hand beside the Christmas tree.
At $20 per child, price includes all materials and supervision. Parents are welcome to drop and run or stay and watch neaby in the “Parent’s Chill Zone.”

Christmas Day Lunch | December 25th
Sleigh bells will be ringing in Thredbo this Christmas as we welcome you to celebrate with your loved ones. The Thredbo Alpine Hotel has put together a range of Christmas Day lunch experiences to make a memorable day with family and friends.
