Hike the Kosciuszko Summit

Is it really a summer bucket list if it doesn’t have a hike to Australia’s highest peak? The Mt Kosciuszko summit walk from the top of the Kosciuszko Chairlift is a breathtaking hike that’s suitable for even beginner hikers! Winding through the stunning Australian alpine region, you can expect plenty of photo opportunities and, of course, all the bragging rights earned by conquering Australia’s highest peak!

If you want to take your hike to the top of Australia to the next level, take a look at our guided tour options! At the same cost as a scenic lift pass, you can join on a guided tour to learn from our expert guides about the endemic flora and fauna along the way. Bookings are essential, learn more here.

Dead Horse Gap Hike

While the Kosciuszko summit walk is surely one of the more famous hikes Thredbo has to offer, the Dead Horse Gap Hike should certainly not be overlooked! Taking you through the vast alpine country before winding down below the tree line and ending up walking along the Thredbo River, this hike truly has it all!

Mountain Bike Park

As Australia’s one and only lift-accessed Mountain Bike Park, taking a ride down the world-class trails in the MTB Park is a Thredbo Summer bucket-list staple! With terrain for all abilities, the MTB Park can be enjoyed by everyone, from first-time mountain bikers to pros!
