Kids Summer Adventure Festival
Featuring the Thredbo Christmas Carnival

The Kids Summer Adventure Festival combines all the best parts of outdoor recreation in the Snowy Mountains with a range of indoor activities to keep your kids occupied this summer. From treasure hunts, arts and crafts, rock-climbing, face painting and more, there is something for all ages.
Across the Christmas period, we’ve got lots of Christmas activities to get you ready for the arrival of the jolly big guy in red… you might even see him around the village!
Looking to keep things easy this Christmas? We’ve even got Christmas Day Lunch sorted for you and the family.
Returning this season is the addition of the Cruiser Mountain Bike area, the perfect spot for young riders and families to learn the basics of gravity mountain biking.
On top of all the Festival activities, you can enjoy the brand new alpine coaster, 50m swimming pool with waterslide & Mission Inflatable, the Kosciuszko Chairlift and Merritts Gondola – Australia’s only alpine gondola!
Thredbo Village Christmas Party

Everyone is invited to come celebrate at the Thredbo Village Christmas Party, with lots of Christmas themed activities to keep the kids happy, including Christmas crafts, gingerbread snowman decorating, glitter tattoos and face painting! Plus a visit from Santa!
Merritts Christmas Feast*

A truly special Christmas experience for the whole family! Ride the Gondola under the stars to Merritts Mountain House for an alpine-inspired, Aussie Christmas feast! Enjoy unforgettable views of a mountain sunset, while making lasting Christmas memories with family and friends!

Get into the holiday spirit with a festive crafting workshop! Design your own Christmas decorations, create magical snow-globes, and personalize stockings to hang beside the Christmas tree.

Alpine Pizzeria
Alpine Pizzeria will be running workshops just for the kids where they can create their dream Christmas inspired pizza with all their favourite toppings. The best bit is...they get to take it home for dinner!

Face painting adds a magical touch to every occasion. Watch the kids light up as they transform into their favourite animals or characters. You'll have special photos to share and cherish and best of all, it’s free!

When it comes to the school holidays, a movie is always a great way to finish off an active day in the mountains. You can purchase drinks, popcorn or even choc tops for your kids to enjoy while they watch, and we’ll be featuring their favourite Christmas movies as we run into the big holiday! Sport Sessions

Village Green
Join our coaches for an interactive sport day on the village green. With a variety of sports on offer including soccer, cricket, football, hockey and more...turn up for a quick game or stay all day and hone in your skills with some fun drills.
Alpine Coaster*

Valley Terminal
At 1.5km in length, from thrill-seekers to leisure cruisers, passengers will be able to control their speed of up to 40km/h as they travel along a mix of uphill and downhill tracks featuring a tunnel, bridges and circles that traverse the alpine environment.

Think you have what it takes to be a part of Thredbo’s Amazing Race? Take on the challenge! Your mission is to follow all the secret clues to find the hidden treasure! Find your first clue at the Thredbo Information Centre.
Bike Challenge
9am – 3pm | Daily (except 25 Dec)

Head to the Info Centre, grab a location sheet and search out the four Mountain Bike trails listed. Collect a sticker at each trail head. Once you complete all four tracks head back the Info Centre to collect your prize!
Hike Challenge

Here’s an activity for the whole family! Start at the Thredbo Information Centre. Grab a location sheet, head to the four trail heads and collect a stamp. Once completed go back to the Thredbo Information Centre to collect your prize!
Nature Bingo

Grab a free Nature Bingo sheet from the Thredbo Information Centre and head on a walk or hike. Play with your family or friends and see who will find a row first. Once completed head back to the Thredbo Information Centre to collect your prize!
Giant Games

Thredbo has a range of fun outdoor giant games to play. From Connect Four, Jenga, Corn Hole and much more… Relax while the kids play or join in on the fun.

Be ready to enter into the world of acro-balancing and slack rope. It’s all about balance and belief that you can do it! Enjoy this fun new skill that everybody can learn.

Who will be the fastest over the Mission Inflatable today? Have a go, record a time and see if you are the daily champion. You must complete a 25m swim test and be over 1.2m tall to take on the mission.

Take your height to a whole new level with Alpine Bungee! Returning again this summer, Alpine Bungee offers guests of all ages the chance to soar in Australia’s premier year-round adventure destination.
Disc Golf

Disc Golf Course
Thredbo’s disc golf course is nestled between bushland and surrounded by stunning mountain views. Disc golf is fun for all ages and abilities and is played much like traditional golf, the object is to complete each hole in the fewest number of throws. Book disc rental (including scorecards) in resort at Guest Services Valley Terminal*.
Guided Hikes*

Join a scheduled Guided Hike with like-minded explorers and learn more about the iconic high country on the bucket list Mt Kosciuszko Summit Hike or Dead Horse Gap Hike. Private Hikes are also available on other days of the week.

Thredbo Mountain Bike Park
Thredbo MTB offers daily clinics for young riders of all levels. If you are looking to tweak your mountain biking skills, gain confidence riding the mountain or after tips on trying something new then the Thredbo MTB instructors have a clinic for you.
