Stay warm and dry with our large range of winter clothing catering for all shapes and sizes, including jackets and pants, or onesies available for kids. Pick up locations are conveniently located on-snow, making it even easier to hit the slopes.

Boots can make or break your day. Our large range of ski and snowboard boots cater for every foot size, shape and arch.

Helmets & Accessories
Stay safe and rent a helmet. Helmets help protect you on the hill and keep you warmer for a more comfortable day out. Helmets are included in both Sport and Premium rental packages and can also be rented separately in resort.

Demo Equipment
Try before you buy at the Friday Flat Snowboard Demo Store. Chat to our expert staff about your perfect board and try out the latest offering from Capita, Burton, Salomon and Nitro.
Better yet, when you decide to buy, we’ll deduct your demo rental cost from the purchase price of your new snowboard!

Boot Lockers
For the ultimate convenience store your boots and belongings right at the base of the mountain. Each locker will hold a medium-size backpack, multiple pairs of shoes, or 1-2 pairs of ski/board boots, a helmet, and gloves.
Choose either Friday Flat or Valley Terminal location.
Please note: These lockers are not in a drying room and are only intended for storage. Available for in-resort purchase only.

Equipment Tuning
Get the best performance out of your skis or snowboard with our equipment tuning services. Thredbo Retail and Rental workshop at Friday Flat offers state of the art tuning with the new Montana Saphir Pro tuning machine. Talk to our experienced team of workshop technicians about our full range of race structure options and mounting and repair services including performance waxing for both skis and snowboards.
Backcountry Equipment
Explore the Main Range with our Backcountry Rental packages (pick up Valley Terminal only). Choose from Volkl touring skis with Mohair skins, a Burton splitboard with Montana skins or Tubbs snowshoes (all packages include collapsible poles).
Ski and splitboard packages can be rented with a Thredbo Backcountry Tour or if you have prior backcountry experience. Snowshoe rental is open to all levels of experience.

Thredbo Rental Valley Terminal or Thredbo Rental Friday Flat are both conveniently located near the bottom of the chairlifts.
Please bring full length socks for rental boot fitting. These can be purchased in the adjacent retail store if you forget.

Your rental equipment is your responsibility for the entire length of your agreed rental period. If you don’t want to take your rental equipment with you at the end of the day we offer overnight lockers at Friday Flat and Valley Terminal for a small additional cost. Please note that space is limited in busy periods and lockers are allocated on an in resort first come first serve basis.
Renting with Thredbo means the ultimate convenience right on the snow. If your rental boots don’t feel quite right or your rental skis or snowboard require adjustments Thredbo offers on the spot free equipment swaps and repairs. On top of this, we offer one free gear switch between snowboarding and skiing equipment with our Sport Rental Range and unlimited gear switches with our Premium Rental Range including changing equipment to suit daily snow conditions.
Online Rental
All ski and snowboard rental must be booked in advance online or at guest services before collection and can be completed at the same time as your lift pass purchase. When purchasing rental equipment, you will be asked to complete a copy of the rental wavier and to submit a security deposit.
After processing you will be sent an email containing rental collection codes and a copy will be loaded to your MyThredbo card. Please bring your MyThredbo Card(s) with you or a printed or digital form of the email containing the barcodes to collect your rental equipment. As you have already processed your security deposit no other payment type is needed.
Please note that although a form of accepted identification (Australian Drivers Licence, Australian Proof of Age Card or Passport) is not required when picking up rental equipment you will need a physical or digital accepted identification (Australian Drivers Licence, Australian Proof of Age Card or Passport) to collect lift passes or your pre-purchased MyThredbo card. Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to collect or purchase rental equipment and to sign the rental wavier and binding set-up confirmation.
Timing can vary, however we usually recommend guests arrive at the shop at least 45 minutes before a lesson or the time they want to hit the slopes.
Rental collection wait times on busy mornings (school holidays and peak periods) can be longer than 1 hour.
There are no refunds or credits for early return.
