Wake up in the Thredbo Alpine Hotel and start your day with a delicious buffet breakfast at Cascades Restaurant. Today is all about trying out Thredbo’s Mountain Bike Park — Australia’s only lift-accessed gravity mountain bike trails.

First time mountain bike riding? We got you! Your first step is to head to Thredbo Retail and Rental Store who will get you kitted up with everything you need from a great quality bike to protective gear. Next up, make sure you’ve booked in for an Intro to MTB Clinic with one of our expert instructors who will help you nail the basics and get confident on the bike. Then you’ll be ready to jump on the chairlift or the gondola to explore over 40km of downhill and gravity trails. Hot tip? The Cruiser area is the perfect place for beginner to intermediate riders to progress their skills. For the full Beginner Guide, please click here.

Day Two | A Bucket List Hike!

Start day two by heading to The Bakery to stock up on supplies to put in your backpack for a big day ahead. Our pick is one of Thredbo’s famous salad rolls!

Today is the day you’re going to tick off a bucket list item by reaching the top of Australia’s highest mountain, Mt Kosciuszko! To get the most out of this experience, book a Guided Hike or a Private Hike and let our knowledgeable local guides show you the way while teaching about the flora and fauna of the area. Want to take it to the next level? Experience sunset from the rooftop of Australia by booking a Guided Sunset Hike.

On your way back down the mountain, make sure to pop in at Eagles Nest, Australia’s highest restaurant! Perched 1937 metres above Thredbo Village, this is the perfect pit stop on your way down from the top of Mt Kosciuszko.  Enjoy incredible views of the Snowy Mountains accompanied by delicious pizzas and a spritz in hand.

Scenic Lift Pass

In summer, the ride up offers spectacular views across the Thredbo Valley. The Kosciuszko Chairlift takes you to start of the Mt Kosciuszko Summit and Main Range walks.

Day Three | More Adventure!

We’re doing it all this weekend so buckle in for Day 3! This morning is all about activities and while there may be a few too many to pack into one weekend, take your pick from golf, disc golf, tennis, a workout at the gym or laps of the pool at Thredbo Leisure Centre.

For lunch, pack a picnic and head up the Kosciuszko Chairlift for a walk down the picturesque Merritts Nature Track. At the start, see if you can find the stunning rockpools off to the left of the track. Along your way down, you’ll find Australia’s most iconic picnic table with views as far as the eye can see. The perfect place for lunch. As you arrive back to the village, take a stroll along the Thredbo River and through the Golf Course loop where you’ll spot blooming wildflowers and maybe even spot some native animals.

On your final night in Thredbo, head to Cascades Restaurant to reward yourself with a gourmet dinner after an adventurous weekend.

Thredbo sits on the traditional land of the Monero – Ngarigo people who have looked after this land, water and community for over 60,000 years. We thank them for all they have done and continue to do to look after their country, a special place which we all love and respect.
