Winter School Groups

Student Lift & Lesson Product: 

Thredbo offers School Groups a lift and morning lesson school group product, which includes: 

• Lift pass, with duration options between 1-Day to 5-Days (Monday to Friday only)   
• Mandatory morning school group lesson: 2hr duration (start time options 8:30am or 10:30am) 
• *NEW* Included 2hr afternoon lesson on Day 1 for all school lift and lesson products (start 1:30pm)  

Schools can elect to add-on additional products, outlined below:  

• Additional afternoon school group lesson from Day 2 onwards: 2hr duration (start 1.30pm-3:30pm)  
• Equipment or Clothing Rental: Ski or Snowboard equipment (helmet incl.) or Jacket and Pant 
  • On-site equipment storage rental available as an Thredbo equipment rental add-on  
• Goggle only, Glove only or Goggle & Glove purchase packs (these items cannot be rented)  
• Lunch: hot meal and drink with a 50min booking in a designated area (located at the Friday Flat Bistro) 
• Thredbo Leisure Centre: access to Pool/Slide or Sports Hall (Mission Inflatable available as pool add-on) 
• Thredbo Alpine Coaster: 1 x ride per day (note: this is not an exclusive booking)

Teacher Lift & Lesson Product:  

*UPDATED* Thredbo offers School Group Teachers a lift product, receiving 2 teachers free for every 10 paying students:  

• Lift pass duration matches student product duration  
• Teachers/Supervisors with School Groups can supervise student classes:  
  • This is in a shadow capacity, with no instruction provided to the teacher/supervisor  
  • Teachers/Supervisors are required to be above the ability of the group they are shadowing 

Teachers/Supervisors can elect to add-on an adult lesson:  

• Adult lessons: 2hr duration (starting either 9:15am or 11:20am pending student lesson time)  
• Please note this is a separate lesson, at a different time and meeting location to the student lesson  
• Due to different start times between adult and student lessons, teachers/supervisors may need to leave the adult lesson early to resume supervision at the conclusion of the student’s lesson

Student Ability Levels:   

Thredbo wants your school group to get the most out of their time on snow. In the booking request form Student numbers per discipline are required to allow Thredbo to accurately allocate lesson spots availability based on instructor numbers (endeavouring to be within the 1:10 ratio). The ability level of every student is required to be advised in the Student and Teacher data form (provided in early 2025), at least 2 weeks prior to arrival, so Thredbo can finalise instructor allocation and assign class lists.  

• There may need to be a split-ability levels within the same lesson dependent on the number of students per discipline (opting to ski or snowboard)

Winter Bookings:

• School Group packages are available from 9 June 2025 until 3 October 2025 (Monday to Friday only).
  • Black out dates apply:
    • Monday 30 June 2025 to Friday 18 July 2025 (school holidays)  
    • Saturday & Sunday throughout the 2025 winter season
• Minimum numbers required for group bookings –
  • 20 Paying Students per booking for School Group package
  • School groups receive 2 x teacher lift product free for every 10 paying students, provided the minimum 20 Students is met
• Group booking requests must be received by Thredbo Groups no later than 3 weeks prior to the arrival date

Please Note: On confirmation of your booking request a $200.00 non-refundable deposit is required to secure the booking.

2 weeks prior to arrival, full group details are required via the provide Student and Teacher data form

• Student/Teacher names and date of births
• Medication, food or drug allergies
• Rental Information (if required)
• In resort contact
• Any changes to final numbers will be reviewed and subject to availability (including increase in numbers or change to discipline splits)
• This data will be used by Thredbo Snow Sports to generate class lists based on student discipline and ability and provided prior to arrival

1 week prior to arrival, final payment is required

• Thredbo Groups will provide a Pre-Arrival information document to assist the group in making the most of their time in Thredbo
• The group’s in-resort contacts are required to read this information prior to arrival
